Y/n pov.
Did I make the right choice?
“Y/n, Bang Chan would explain your schedule to you later.” Jyp informed me. “Now, you would be an official member of Stray Kids.” He continued. Wait, Stary Kids?!?
“I thought I would be part of Itzy? Cause y’know, they are a girl gang.”
“I was originally thinking of putting you in Itzy. However, your skills are better than Itzy members and they are usually given missions like finding out infomation and spying so they rarely use weapons. They only attack when necessary. Your skills would be put to waste if you are part of Itzy.” Jyp explained, sipping on his drink.
“She makes all of us look bad.” Lia chuckled, making me blush at the compliment.
"But... I sill don't get it. Why would you chose me? There are literally so many people that have more potential than me." I asked.
"Well, you have the determination and courage. Just a bit more training would be perfect." Jyp smiled, his gaze shifting nervously around me. Strange.
“Hyunjin and Yeji, why don’t the both of you give her a tour around the building after this? Both of you know the building the best and there is still some time before the party starts.” Jyp suggested, changing the subject.
“Um Jyp-nim, I still have to help Yuna with her hair after this. Right, Yuna?” Yeji said as she used her hand to mess up Yuna’s perfect French braid. Yuna started to protest at first but Yeji flashed her a smile, eyes trying to say something that she understood immediately.
"Yup. My hair is a mess." Yuna said, throwing me a smug smile. Huh? Yeji then turned to Hyunjin and winked at him, to which he rolled his eyes in reply. What’s going on?
“Hyunjin, speaking of you, we have to discuss your marriage arrangement with Wonyoung.”
I glanced at Hyunjin—his jaw almost touched the floor as he looked at Jyp in disbelief and shock.
“Does your brother not know about the marriage thing?” I whispered to Yeji.
“Nope, that * has not a single clue about anything.” She whispered back.
Hyunjin pov.
“Hyunjin, speaking of you, we have to discuss your marriage arrangement.”
I almost choked on the cupcake that got forcefully stuffed into my mouth by Wonyoung. I sent a glare at Han who decided to swap seats with her. Urgh, the maknae line is so annoying. “Jyp nim, is it a must to have a marriage? I mean, can’t it be like a friendly one?” I asked, trying to sound confused but it came out as a scoff. Yeji gave me a proud smile.
"A marriage is a stronger bond but the choice is yours. If you are uncomfortable with it, I could talk with Starship and cancel the arrangements. However, I recommend a marriage, but again it's up to you. I respect your decision." Jyp said.
"Daebak. Since you said the choice is up to me, I would not marry Wonyoung." I replied curtly.
"Oppa, why? Is Wonnie not good enough for you?" Wonyoung pouted as she tugged on my arm.
"I'm also thinking about the same thing as you Wonyoung. Hyunjin-ah, you and Wonyoung have been really close since young, the two of you are like soulmates. I really don't get why you would find it awkward, I mean, you have known Wonyoung for a long time, right? It's not like you two are strangers or anything." Jyp reasoned out.
"They aren't soulmates. I'm his." Felix joked as he linked arms with me. "Okay okay, I'm just joking. Don't need to get so serious." He continued.
"There is no time for jokes Lix. I'm so *ed off with the situation already. Don't add on." I hissed at him.
"Yeah, right. That's your soulmate. Happy?" Felix whispered as he nudged his head towards Y/n's direction. Y/n mouthed a 'what?' and I just shook my head in reply.
"Yah, Lix stop teasing your hyung. I don't have a crush on her." I warned using my hair to hide the blush on my cheeks.
"Sure, keep telling yourself that." Suengmin snorted from somewhere behind me softly, earning giggles from I.N and a nervous chuckle from Chan.
"So...?" Jyp started.
"Being best friends is exactly the problem, Jyp nim. We have been friends for years and I treat her as a younger sister, like Yeji, and not a lover. It'll be really awkward, wouldn't it? Marrying your best friend?" I explained.
"So I'm just your best friend?" Wonyoung asked, disappointed.
"Yes, Wonnie. I told you that any times before." I answered, hearing Yeji sigh in relief and Wonyoung sending a glare at her. Okay, I'm so not gonna take part in this girls' drama they have between them.
"You're neither his best friend nor soulmate. I'm his best friend and Felix is his soulmate." Han announced, trying to lighten up the mood without knowing that he only made it worse for Wonyoung. I pet her back gently. Is that how you comfort a girl? Cause I have no idea at all.
"No I'm not his soulmate. It's Y/-" I covered Felix's mouth just in time before her name slipped out. I glared at him.
"Very well, Hyunjin-ah. I would give you a week to think about your decision. Please think about it carefully." Jyp sighed.
"It's decided already." I replied, uninterested.
Jyp ignored my statement and continued, "Then, that shall be the end of this short meeting. Hyunjin, why don't you tour Y/n around a bit? And Wonyoung, stay back for a few minutes, I need to talk to you. Stary Kids, the other seven of you could go and greet the guests at the club first? I have a few important guests I meeting later at night." Jyp ordered.
"Enjoy your time with your Princess, Prince Hyunjin." Lee know teased as Changbin blew me a kiss.
"Go get your girl~" The maknaes chorused before giggling and running away with Lee Know behind them yelling at them to stop running before they fall on their asses. Typical scene.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but for once I agree with the maknaes." Chan smirked lightly.
"Nooooo Chan hyung. You too?" I groaned. Chan chuckled before leaving with Changbin.
"What about us?" Ryujin asked Jyp.
"Well, Yeji go and help Yuna with her hair." Jyp said, raising his eyebrow. Hahaha, seems like he could tell my sister lying. Yeji flashed him a nervous smile. "You guys can either help the other Stray Kids members or arrange the files for my meeting later." Jyp suggested. The Itzy members nodded before leaving the room. Yeji whispered something in Y/n's ear with a mischievous smile before pushing Y/n forward and bolting out if the meeting room excitedly not before mouthing 'Fighting!' at me.
"So let's start the 'tour' shall we?" I asked Y/n, flashing my famous charming smile. She blushed a little—yes, I am aware of my effects on girls and even some guys.
"Sure." She replied simply, her cheeks tinted pink.
"Let's go."
